Purgatory's Play

If you are curious about my poetry I would like to share a glimpse into my world. This poem is called 10 Purgatory's Play and it is featured in my book “24” along with a handful of others I hope you decide to check out.

10 Purgatory's Play

I know what it's like to search for joy among the ashes,
Squabbling with the devil, dreams of rooming up with Casius.
Too afraid to go and meet him too afraid to stay away,
I must get out this sunken place this is Pergatory's play.

Disjointed by the happiness of preying while I pray,
Temptation to join ashes in this present place I stay.
Too far removed from normalcy, too weird to be ok,
Too quiet to be Malclolm X, too timid to be Che.

I never said I made it, I just said I could relate,
Devised this script on purpose, may I change another's fate.
The feeling of a spaceship out of orbit lost in space,
This feeling that I speak of, may you find your happy place.
