BUICKS DON’T GET YOU PULLED OVER

If you are curious about my poetry I would like to share a glimpse into my world. This poem is called BUICKS DON’T GET YOU PULLED OVER and it is featured in my book “24” along with a handful of others I hope you decide to check out.

BUICKS DON’T GET YOU PULLED OVER

Buicks don't get you pulled over.

With finances supercharged,
education on turbo, credit unions, credit cards,
student loans, interest rates raising free of charge.

Still,
Buick's don't get you pulled over.

Solo or passenger,
Expert on Camera,
Intellectual amateur,
watch me slide down that banister.

Still,
Buicks won't get you pulled over.

A glorious perception lacked,
A dubious direction cracked,
still, We practice it.

Road of life, seat belt attached,
The brightest lights, now in the back,
Officer, Is it because I'm black?

No, but your jacket is.
Disclaimer.
